Lud-in-the-Mist by Hope Mirlees

I signed up for Julia's fall book box last year, and received a pretty edition of Lud-in-the-Mist in addition to some fun little treats. I'd read the book before -- it's a lovely fantasy that manages to be very English and very magical at the same time.

The book cover was a pretty pick and green floral design, so pretty I was inspired to stitch it:

I think I'm starting a new series where I replicate different floral book covers; next up is Quartet in Autumn, the Plume paperback edition of which had a striking pattern.

  1. I love your idea of stitching the embroidered book covers. I haven't read this one but it has a recommendation from Neil Gaiman which is good enough for me!
